Integrated Research Integrates VoIP Monitoring for Microsoft Lync and Cisco

Integrated Research (News - Alert) (IR), a provider of high-definition VoIP management and performance monitoring, diagnostics and reporting software, has expanded its Prognosis VoIP Monitor to include integrated voice quality monitoring for Microsoft Lync and Cisco (News - Alert) Unified Communications Manager.

Prognosis VoIP Monitor already delivers Avaya voice quality management. With the new multi-vendor capabilities, the solution now allows large organizations to manage voice quality across different platforms including Avaya, Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync and Cisco.

Integrated Research CEO, Mark Brayan, said, “Microsoft Lync is inherently multi-vendor as it uses hardware and software from other vendors. We have taken the best of our existing product, embraced state of the art technologies and created world-class unified voice quality monitoring for Avaya, Microsoft Lync and Cisco.”

VoIP management and monitoring is essential to ensure call quality and compliance. It ensures service reliability and proactive issue resolution.

“As we’ve had over 12 years of extensive experience in managing VoIP, users don’t need to create any monitoring or alert conditions, they’re all there right out of the box – across multiple vendors,” said John Dunne, general manager, Products and Alliances, in a statement.

“Unlike probe-based solutions network managers don’t have to interfere with existing network structure or security; and with minimal set up Prognosis (News - Alert) VoIP Monitor eases Lync integration into existing VoIP environments,” Dunne added.

Prognosis VoIP Monitor is built using the latest mobile and tablet-friendly technology, so that the voice administrator is empowered whether in the office or on the move. A custom built native iOS App called Prognosis First Responder enables alerts to be viewed, prioritized and actioned from an iPhone or iPad.

The multi-vendor support comes as a complementary addition to IR’s enterprise level performance management solution − Prognosis for Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC), a communications solution that allows organizations of any size to manage UC applications and devices, in addition to voice quality, across multiple vendors and technologies.

The company has also announced a free license of the latest Prognosis VoIP Monitor to monitor the first 250 phones in a Microsoft Lync, Avaya or Cisco environment. Existing Prognosis VoIP Monitor customers can also request an upgrade to version 4.
