ICAP Patent Brokerage has announced the auction of wireless communication handoff management portfolio at the upcoming ICAP Patent Brokerage IP Auction.
Invented by Jeou-Kai Lin, this wireless communication portfolio boosts connectivity by offering an improved handoff management technique in an Internet Protocol based mobile communication network.
ICAP Patent Brokerage is a division of ICAP plc and an intellectual property brokerage and patent auction firm. The 17th ICAP Ocean Tomo IP Auction will be held on November 29, 2012, at The Ritz Carlton in San Francisco, California.
The patent auction firm notes that the portfolio for sale features a handoff management technique in Internet Protocol (IP) based mobile communication network.
Although users can manage handoff in IP networks by forwarding data packets from a fixed point in the network to the mobile device this process involves high handoff latency.
The handoff management technique reduces the latency during the handoff procedure and improves the quality of service.
The real-time communication of IP based multimedia applications during handoff is also guaranteed by this technique, claims the patent auction firm.
“We are excited to be offering this innovative wireless communications package to our global base of buyers. Consistent connectivity is the key to reliable and efficient wireless communication. Thus, the portfolio for sale offers a distinct advantage for telecommunications or network service providers wishing to ensure quality of service for users,” said Dean Becker, CEO of ICAP Patent Brokerage.
ICAP Patent Brokerage has also announced that it will auction LAWYER.NET (News
