MetTel (News - Alert), a provider of IP-enabled communications services throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and beyond, is witnessing strong growth for its unified communications solutions following a momentous 2012.
According to Marshall Aronow, CEO of MetTel, 2012 was a “year of transformation” in which the company responded to customer demand through new services, new partners and an expanded international footprint. In 2012, MetTel also expanded its proprietary MetOne Software Suite.
The company expanded its service footprint to Canada and Puerto Rico, and introduced new portfolio of business mobility solutions including MetTel Mobile Integration, MetTel Mobile Device Management (MDM), and MetTel Wireless Backup.
In addition, MetTel partnered with industry leaders like AirWatch (News - Alert) for Mobile Device Management; ADTRAN for network routers, switches and unified threat management; and BroadSoft, a leader in hosted IP solutions.
Further, the company built a new state-of-the-art Network Node in California's Silicon Valley. It enhanced MetOne Portal that allows IT, accounting and telecom managers to see exactly what services and equipment they have at all locations to identify and control costs.
During 2012, MetTel put its 100,000th user on the BroadSoft (News - Alert)-based hosted IP unified communications platform. Thanks to the open and reliable BroadSoft platform, MetTel can seamlessly move mission-critical applications and communications services from legacy phone systems to the cloud at the best cost and without any disruption to enterprise operations.
Last but not the least, during 2012, MetTel released a new Web video, "Converged Telecommunications Solutions: Gaining a Competitive Advantage" featuring Gartner (News - Alert) research director Daniel O'Connell. The video provides an overview of the operational and cost inefficiencies faced by companies with multiple locations, and complex voice and data requirements.
With these accomplishments in 2012, the company is poised for strong growth in 2013, Aronow said. The MetOne portal is generating tremendous response from enterprise customers. The service gains popularity as it helps enterprises offer a wide range of services in multiple locations.
