- Alert), a provider of intelligent wireless connectivity solutions, revealed that its EnablerHS 3001, a machine-to-machine (M2M) CDMA2000 1X module, has just been certified for use on the Verizon (News
- Alert) Wireless network.
The wireless M2M connectivity module supports CDMA 800 and 1900 MHz and a rich on-board N4A communication and management software agent that speeds up deployments on Verizon Wireless’ (News - Alert) CDMA network.
With Novatel Wireless HS3001, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) get an opportunity to develop the next wave of devices that can address industry-specific challenges and unlock new business opportunities in the marketplace.
“Verizon is helping to make embedded M2M more cost-effective and widely adopted,” said Michael Palmer, vice president of global product strategy and alliances for Verizon Enterprise Solutions, in a statement.
Based on the Enfora Enabler series, the Enabler HS 3001 low power platform delivers s an ultra high level of performance, reliable connectivity and device intelligence needed for today's demanding applications. Additionally, the wireless connectivity solution is designed for addressing the challenges in the automotive, healthcare, retail, transportation and utility industries that require high reliability and a future-proof design.
Some of the capabilities offered by Enabler HS 3001 include security, remote maintenance and control (RMAC), automatic vehicle location (AVL) and asset tracking, point of sale (POS), mHealth, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and automatic meter reading (AMR).
