Avema (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of wireless expense management (WEM) solution, announced a joint venture with Mission Critical Wireless (News - Alert), a provider of wireless products and solutions to enterprise customers.
The new joint venture Avema Critical Wireless (ACW) will provide mobile management as a complete full-service offering for mid-size and large companies, including user and server support, security management, and spend management.
“As smartphones and tablets become more powerful, they can dramatically increase workforce productivity and engagement, but this means that there’s an urgent need to properly secure sensitive corporate data contained on these devices, more need for technical support, and more need to contain mobile costs,” said Dan Croft, CEO of Mission Critical Wireless, in a statement .
“ACW presents an opportunity to leverage the relationships and experience of two industry experts, enabling us to provide a holistic suite of services to our clients,” Croft added.
ACW has had several years of hands-on experience working with devices and software from every major vendor in the mobile marketplace. Leading vendors trust ACW for review and feedback on new products, while ACW clients rely on the company's deep technical expertise to guide critical mobile strategy decisions.
“With the increasing complexity of multiple mobile platforms and equipment such as iPads, PlayBooks, and Android (News - Alert) devices, companies are seeking additional help to get the most value from their mobile investment,” said Roger Yang, CEO of Avema Corporation, in a statement.
“To achieve optimal performance, businesses are looking to move away from the ad hoc handling of mobility that distracts from their core competencies, and instead rely on expert support,” Yang added.
Earlier this year, Avema Corporation announced that it signed an agreement with MobileIron, a Mobile Device Management vendor. The partnership was formed to expand the service portfolio around Avema’s flagship Advanced Vendor Management (AVM) system, making it a major resource for wireless software and services.
