Rivermine, a provider of automated wireless expense management (WEM) and telecom expense management (TEM) solutions, has received Deloitte’s (News - Alert) Virginia Technology Fast 50 award for the third time. The company achieved a growth rate of 1,121 percent from 2003-2007, and was honored for this achievement.

 

According to Mark Logan (News - Alert), president and CEO at Rivermine, the company’s growth rate proves the power of its software and managed services, which help enterprises significantly reduce telecom expenses — a critical task during an economic downturn.

 

“We are experiencing record growth in 2008, as our solutions help organizations yield millions of dollars in savings year-over-year,” Logan said.

 

Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, a professional services organization, ranked the 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies based on their percentage revenue growth over five years from 2003-2007.

 

In order to qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2003 and $5 million in 2007. Also, for this particular list, the qualifying companies had to be headquartered in Virginia and either own proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributed to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devote a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.

 

According to Rivermine (News - Alert), companies from the nine regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the U.S. and Canada automatically enter the Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 program. This unique program ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies.

 

Rivermine recently introduced Rivermine 6.0, its automated wireline network and wireless device expense management system that aims helps organizations rapidly reduce telecom expenses in an uncertain economic climate. The release includes a number of new features such as rapid deployment capabilities, TEM Atlas (a graphical network mapping tool), global support functionality, and a new Web user interface.
