TEMIA Hosts Reception before Industry Wireless Management Conference

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

The Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA (News - Alert)), in association with Heliview, a provider of business-to-business information, announced it is hosting a reception for solution providers on March 13.

The reception will feature a canal tour of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and meeting of solutions providers. The reception is scheduled just before the Heliview Telecom Expense Management 2012 conference, giving an opportunity to sponsors to meet and network with solutions providers. The conference will be held on March 14 in Amsterdam.

“I am delighted to join Heliview in hosting this reception, and support Heliview as a knowledge partner,” said Joe Basili, managing director of TEMIA, in a statement. “This gathering shows how TEM, Managed Mobility Services and TEMIA are growing globally. It is great to see the power of collaboration as we work for the betterment of customers and maximize clients' investments.”

The conference will discuss some of the latest development in Telecom Expense Management and Managed Mobility Services (MMS).  Speakers will present the latest national and international developments, business cases, practical strategies and best practices.

Pleun Verstappen, conference producer, at Heliview Conferences and Training said, "I'm glad that TEMIA and Heliview are hosting this reception. It is the ultimate opportunity for all solution providers to discuss industry developments and network."

Ezwim (News - Alert), one of the sponsors of the conference, thinks that many firms struggle to understand and manage the cost of telecommunications as more sophisticated mobile devices and services are being deployed in their organizations.

“In Europe a growing number of companies are seeing the benefit of TEM to manage telecom assets and costs,” said Bram Cool, general manager of Ezwim, in a statement. “Unfortunately, there is still not enough awareness in the market of the value TEM can bring.”

Earlier this year, Joe Basili of the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association said TEM and wireless expense management solutions will see increased adoption rates in 2012 as enterprises continue to recognize the value of visibility and control over their telecom expenses, according to Joe Basili, Managing Director of the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association.

Basili believes the TEM and WEM markets are set to explode in the coming year, powered mostly by greater penetrations rates among small and midsize enterprises as well as new government initiatives aimed at controlling telecom costs.
