Webtech Wireless, a provider of wireless management and vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, announced expanded capabilities for its InterFleet division.
The company has established a Project Management Office (PMO) for InterFleet consistent with the structure of its Quadrant division PMO.
The expansion aims to address the demand from customers who require greater integration of InterFleet data with their innovative initiatives. The new PMO will increase the company’s capacity to deliver more projects and ensure that their outstanding quality control is maintained and enhanced, according to Chris Jackson, VP InterFleet Operations and Project Management.
With these new capabilities, InterFleet Operations and Project Management will grow their proven engagement process for technical assistance on proposals and project implementations.
According to Larry Juba, COO of Webtech Wireless, the company’s expansion will grow the custom reporting and data interface business for InterFleet.
Webtech Wireless develops, manufactures and supports end-to-end wireless solutions including automatic vehicle location (AVL), mapping, vehicle diagnostics, CO2 reporting, navigation, messaging, and mobile resource management.
The company offers highly specialized products such as Quadrant commercial fleet solutions, InterFleet solutions for government, and NextBus real-time passenger information services for transit fleets.
Webtech Wireless' InterFleet solution is designed for Government fleets in North America to efficiently manage Municipal, City and Department of Transportation Fleet Operations. The GPS and AVL solution uses ten second or better reporting frequency for the real-time display of customer's entire fleet.
With InterFleet, customers can layer their own GIS mapping information and integrate with other existing City, State, or Provincial systems. The comprehensive reporting capabilities allow managers to reduce liability, reduce material usage, manage contractor compliancy, ensure minimum operating compliancy, and reduce overall operating costs.
“We have proven our ability to deliver projects for customers with examples such as the Buffalo 311 system and the Province of Alberta's Contractor Billing System,” Juba added. “Our customers want additional capabilities and this expansion will let us reliably deliver more projects for our InterFleet customers."
Recently Webtech Wireless announced that Wayne County, Michigan, has released their "Compass (News - Alert)" Web portal providing real-time vehicle, traffic, and video information to their citizens, with the telematics and vehicle data provided from the County's Webtech Wireless InterFleet solution.
