Utah Will Receive WSCA Wireless Management, Contract Compliance Services from WidePoint Subsidiary iSYS

iSYS, LLC, a subsidiary of WidePoint Corporation, recently announced it has officially been given the initial order with the State of Utah, governed by the Master Agreement contract with the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA), to supply Wireless Management and Contract Compliance Services.

WidePoint Corporation is a specialist provider of communications management and cyber security solutions.

"We are committed to supporting the State of Utah and other WSCA members in reducing their overall telecom cost,” said Jin Kang, President of iSYS. “This is the first Task Order issued under our Master Agreement with the WSCA member states, and we look forward to building on it, both within the State of Utah for additional telecom expense management services and in other member states as they pursue their own audits and communications management optimization planning strategies."

This initial first order requires iSYS to conduct a wireless telecom contract audit for all Agencies and Departments of the State of Utah. The award will be a performance-based shared savings agreement.

During the month of March 2012, it was noted that the Master Agreement makes provision for compliance and cost recovery services, wireless telecom contract auditing, plan optimization and rightsizing. This will also be part of a robust wireless management tool for cell phones as well as data services for WSCA member states.

“We are pleased that our investments in time and resources to target and expand our services into the state and local marketplace are showing positive results,” said Steve Komar, WidePoint CEO. “The current pace of new awards and extensions in our Federal and State marketplaces, coupled with the addition of new awards we have recently received in our commercial marketplace, demonstrate both the need and demand that our communications management proprietary solutions offer the marketplace.

February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2015 will be period of performance for the Master Agreement. This three-year contract was agreed to be a multi-award, indefinite-duration/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) type contract and will provide coverage to the State of Utah and all 52 members of the NASPO Cooperative, including the 15 members of WSCA.
