EXFO (News - Alert), a provider of test and service assurance solutions for the wireless telecommunications industry, will be showcasing its mobile network testing solution at the upcoming International CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) from May 8 to 10, 2012, in New Orleans.
EXFO will display the BrixNGN end-to-end mobile backhaul testing and monitoring solution at the event which enables operators to seamlessly turn up, monitor and troubleshoot services, and ultimately optimize performance.
BrixNGN is part of EXFO’s Ethernet and multiservice testing solutions, as well as the BrixHawk DA and SA advanced 4G/LTE (News - Alert) testing and monitoring solutions for network performance optimization.
Additionally, at CTIA the wireless telecommunications company will be showing attendees its new QA-805/813 next-generation network simulation platforms (for LTE-to-IMS) and the new Portable iPro, an intelligent network analysis probe, which helps in capturing all data needed for analysis, anywhere in the network.
“The introduction of these new products demonstrates our leadership in bringing state-of-the-art solutions that meet operator’s needs for simpler, more intuitive, more accurate and cost-effective test and monitoring, making EXFO a partner of choice for both mobile network operators and mobile network equipment manufacturers”, said Claudio Mazzuca, vice-president of EXFO’s Service Assurance Division, in a statement.
EXFO’s wireless telecommunications monitoring solution addresses the challenges associated with service provider’s transition from circuit-switched to packet-based services. It helps operators create new opportunities by minimizing time to market for new services, reducing network OPEX (News - Alert), and offering subscribers ubiquitous coverage, high availability and flawless quality of experience (QoE).
“As operators build up their networks to meet explosive mobile growth, they are encountering challenges everywhere from rolling out new circuits to converging their networks to support 4G technologies,” Mazzuca added. “EXFO’s comprehensive mobile solution provides a simple, integrated and cost-effective way to meet these challenges while keeping capital costs low and reducing operational expenses.”
Earlier this year, EXFO announced the launch of a new FTB-2200 Broadband Source (News - Alert), which is ideal for conducting high-accuracy, field-based PMD measurements.
The new battery-operated, high-power FTB-2200 Broadband Source is a compact, rugged and reliable broadband light source that can provide fast as well as accurate field-based PMD measurements when used in conjunction with the FTB-5500B generalized interferometric PMD analyzer.
