EXFO (News - Alert), a provider of wireless telecommunications, has unveiled a new centralized Ethernet service activation and monitoring solution that enables network operators to boost operational efficiency while optimizing the customer experience.
The new Ethernet service activation and monitoring solution also assists operators in deploying a wireless telecommunications network in a cost- effective manner, taking the complexity out of the deployment and powering a much simpler workflow. The service tests and monitors all network architectures from the core to the last mile, as well as covers all stages of the service lifecycle from construction and turn-up to monitoring and troubleshooting.
At the core of Ethernet One is the new BV-3100 Verifier, which provides complete visibility into every layer of the infrastructure from transport to advanced services. The solution activates multiple sites while simultaneously monitoring thousands of endpoints.
The remote and automated capabilities help to dramatically reduce human intervention, making processes more consistent and eliminating guesswork. Furthermore, Ethernet One’s data correlation and analysis capabilities open the door for a wide array of powerful reporting features.
Boasting customizable APIs that can also easily be integrated into the operator’s existing OSS, this wireless telecommunications solution not only extends the breadth of data that can be correlated by the solution, but also converts that data into immediately actionable information.
“Ethernet One brings substantial benefits to network operators in terms of field-team efficiency, overall cost-effectiveness and ultimate customer value,” said Claudio Mazzuca, vice president of EXFO’s Service Assurance Division, in a statement. “Not only does it simplify technicians’ tasks and eliminate human errors, but it also implements standards-based methods across the network—whether it be for mobile backhaul services, business services or data centers.”
“With Ethernet One, operators can better deploy and better assure Ethernet services, maximizing customer satisfaction and accelerate time to revenue,” Mazzuca added.
