Henkel has chosen Ipanema (News - Alert) Technologies for deploying a WAN optimized offering. Henkel will be able to ensure end-user performance of very important business applications globally using the Ipanema offering.
Ipanema’s WAN optimized offering will connect Henkel’s 400 sites to its Wide Area Network or WAN. Finest quality of experience will therefore be ensured for nearly 47,000 users of Henkel sites across the globe. In order to ensure the finest performance for the users, organizations have to manage the intricacies involved with the rise in the number of users, applications and systems.
Ipanema will assist Henkel in implementing consistent IT-based processes and shifting the applications to an integrated private cloud. Ipanema will also ensure that the IT infrastructure has been strengthened and simplified at Henkel, resulting in decreased operating expenses.
The IT team at Henkel, with assistance from Ipanema, is able to implement latest IT transformations, like telepresence and cloud-based applications, to the business units in a simplified manner. Apart from optimal performance for the very important business applications, the controlling and tracking of the network in real-time ensures optimization of the network expenses. In the event of over usage of network, the less important applications are accordingly managed, thereby eliminating the requirement to augment bandwidth capacity.
In a statement, Frank Meyer, Technical Project Lead, Henkel said, “Thanks to our work with Ipanema, our hybrid network has delivered on its promise. It allows us to cost effectively benefit from the best of Multi-Protocol Label Switching and the Internet, and the objective-based application performance management strongly reduces complexity and enables us to dynamically guarantee the applications’ performance to end-users anytime.”
The IT team at Henkel is offered concurrent application performance dashboard and drill-down reports, resulting in increased application visibility. Network issues can therefore be resolved proactively.
Béatrice Piquer, VP of Marketing, Ipanema Technologies said, “We have been working closely with Henkel to help the company deliver guaranteed performance to each user and support their strategic IT transformation to cloud computing and Unified Communications (News - Alert). We’re proud to be able to support Henkel’s business objectives and provide a direct connection between application performance and their business requirements.”
