Ortsbo Inc., a subsidiary of Intertainment Media Inc., has launched a proprietary real time plug-in for Wordpress that allows blogs and chats to be instantly translated into over 50 languages.

"Our Wordpress plug-in is just part of Ortsbo's commitment to development and create new tools and services that break down the language barrier, allowing people around the world to instantly communicate in real time, regardless of their geographic location or native language", said David Lucatch, president of Ortsbo / CEO of Intertainment Media Inc., in a statement.

Officials with Ortsbo said that the new product is much more than just a simple plug-in. It is actually part of the same technology suite that powers the company’s solutions for Twitter (News - Alert) and Facebook, allowing users to instantly translate chats and read any Tweet or Facebook comment in many distinct languages, while simultaneously maintaining the comment's proprietary information.

Company officials pointed out that Ortsbo is also testing and in negotiations with leading entertainment, gaming and sports brands to provide these organizations and their users with customized experiential language solutions that will allow instant, real time and localized chat board communications.

The Ortsbo Wordpress plug-in was initially developed to support Ortsbo's initiatives with IndyCar, allowing fans all over the world to consume and engage a blog-based fan engagement program that was tested this year as part of Ortsbo's 2012 IndyCar sponsorship program, Social Racing Grid.  Social Racing Grid.com includes behind the scenes interviews, video, pictures and other exclusive content and can be instantly translated into over 50 languages with just one click using Ortsbo.

The same technology behind this new initiative is now available on a pilot basis to leading blogs powered by Wordpress, with a full global rollout expected by the end of 2011.
