Chat Translation: Visual Frames Unveils New Translation and Localization Application for iOS

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

With the growing popularity of Internet-enabled mobile devices, there has been an increasing demand for translation services such as chat translation—mainly driven by the need for improved communications through the localization of content.

Companies that are involved in traditional language translation services are now leveraging the opportunity available in the mobile space to offer tailor-made translation services such as chat translation and application localization services to consumers.

Visual Frames, a provider of Magento-based eCommerce solutions and mobile professional services has just unveiled the beta release of Traducto, a powerful and easy to use content translation and localization application for iOS.

The app includes eight of the top ten languages used world wide, plus eight additional languages, company officials said. These include Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Dutch, English, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Catalan, Spanish, and Swedish.

Moreover, the solution has the ability to localize any type of content and supports documents, Xcode projects and App store content. Featuring an easy-to-navigate interface, Traducto also allows for simple translation ordering and checkout.

Unlike most localization apps, Traducto offers a much more richly featured application for developers. Once the beta release is completed, the company will provide complete application localization services for developers, allowing them to adapt their apps to specific markets and languages.

Currentl, Traducto is available now free to developers during the beta period.

In another significant development in the chat translation industry, the U.S. Postal Services has recently announced enhancements to its online services to help non-English speaking communities easily track packages, look up ZIP codes and learn about U.S. Postal Service products and services in Spanish and simplified Chinese via usps.com.
