The iPhone (News - Alert) app, TransFire XP, offers chat translation in over 50 languages making instant messaging, social networking and gaming more efficient for users. TransFire XP is the first of its kind to offer chat translation in real-time by integrating Google (News
- Alert) Translate with the app’s own custom instant messaging service.
For example, if you instant message a friend “Happy Birthday” and they speak Spanish the chat translation solution will automatically send your friend “Feliz Cumpleaños.” When they respond with “Gracias” the chat translation app will then send you “Thank You.”
“TransFire isn’t just meant to overcome language barriers. It’s a slick social networking app that sees barriers as opportunities,” said Jonathan Topolosky, TNT co-founder, in a recent press release.
Some other ways in which the chat translation features are useful is in the world of online gaming. According to gaming statistics, in 2011 PC gamers spent approximately 6.6 hours per week playing games online. With Xbox live accumulating 20 million players and PlayStation with 40 million, that’s a lot of gamers worldwide in need of chat translation.
With the TransFire XP app, language barriers are now being broken down all over the globe, allowing more people to effectively communicate with no delays. The chat translation app also can be accessed from your desktop with the built-in Facebook (News - Alert) support. With that accessibility you can add your contacts from the social networking site straight onto your application.
“The use of chat applications continues to grow as a replacement for text messaging. TransFire is on its way to becoming the gold-standard in instant messaging and translation for your iPhone,” said Elik Topolosky, TNT co-founder. “We hope TransFire will improve communication barriers on a global scale.”
Currently, the TransFire application has over 250,000 users from 89 countries around the world.
