Chat translation is vital to organizations wishing to appeal to a diverse audience. The industry is continuing to overflow with news, and this week was no exception.
Opening up the week, attendees were wowed at this year's CES (News - Alert) event, as Ortsbo’s Live & Global chat translation software made a big impression on attendees.
First launched in July 2011, this chat translation solution leverages proprietary technology and closed-captioning in order to translate videos in 53 languages in real-time. Some of the languages already able to be successfully translated include Spanish, Chinese, Maltese and Yiddish.
According to a statement made over the summer, the Live & Global platform gives organizations the ability to create their own multi-lingual chat platforms, which can be utilized for events such as corporate meetings, fan engagement opportunities, press conferences, symposiums and other events.
In related news, some great apps were released this week that help to perform efficient chat translations such as TNT Creations’ free TransFire IM chat translation application for both the iPhone (News - Alert) and iPod touch.
“TransFire IM isn't just meant to overcome language barriers. It's a slick social networking app that sees barriers as opportunities," Jonathan Topolosky, TNT co-founder, said in a statement.
This chat translation application boasts the ability to, in real-time, translate chat sessions of 50 diverse languages, and offers users an easy-to-use interface, fast message delivery and many options to help enhance the level of communication between friends, colleagues and loved ones.
Ending this week on an exciting note, Parker Software, the developers of WhosOn live chat translation software, received a high ranking in a review of its software from Website Magazine.
Developed by Stephen Parker, CEO of Parker Software, in 2003, the chat translation solution assists website owners in easily being able to see who is visiting their site in real-time, as well as speak with these visitors via live chats to drive online customer service and sales.
In a release, Ian Rowley, business development manager for Parker Software, stated, "This recognition is a fantastic achievement for our company, to be compared so highly against some of the other software companies in the world. We are certainly turning heads and disrupting the live chat software space!"
