Chat translation services are transforming the way in which communications take place by going beyond the boundaries of geographies and cultural differences. Today, businesses all around the world can efficiently interact with anyone, regardless of location or language.
Recently, Nu Skin Enterprises, a global direct selling company with operations in 52 markets and 825,000 independent distributors, selected Translations.com’s GlobalLink Suite to streamline workflows for translation, review and approval of its website copy in 20 languages which include Chinese, Finnish, Russian, Spanish, and Czech.
“Our headquarters are in Utah, yet we operate in 52 markets globally,” said Dan Chard, president of global sales and operations for Nu Skin, in a press release. “We wanted to streamline the process for localizing new and dynamic content for all regions, as well as for our distributors. Translations.com fulfills that goal, letting us empower distributors around the world with innovative products and rewarding business opportunities.”
Before implementing Translations.com’s GlobalLink localization management software, Nu Skin relied on a decentralized Web model in which regional sites were managed separately and translations were performed by in-house staff.
In 2010, Nu Skin deployed the GlobalLink Project Director, Translation & Review Portal and TransStudio to quickly translate a significant store of core content and ramp up the process in which new Web content could be published across all global markets.
“Nu Skin’s global operations generate more than a billion dollars in revenue each year, and sustaining that level of business activity worldwide requires the company to communicate in a clear, timely, and relevant manner in all of its markets,” Liz Elting, co-CEO of Translations.com added. “GlobalLink lets Nu Skin help its worldwide distributors better convey the value of its products to their own customers, regardless of where they live or what languages they speak.”
