SDL Studio GroupShare Helps Companies Meet Increasing Chat Translation Demands

Chat translation has taken the communications industry by storm. In order to support a multilingual customer case, several companies today are utilizing innovative chat translation solutions.

Recently, SDL, a premier provider of global information management solutions, introduced the SDL Studio GroupShare, a collaboration hub for groups of translators and project managers.

Company officials said the new chat translation platform allows small translation departments, translation agencies, governments and ad-hoc teams of individual translators to work together more effectively to improve productivity and collaboration.

The product is simple enough for a team to manage and also sophisticated enough to provide the functionality needed to collaborate successfully on vital tasks.

All types of organizations with the help of the SDL Studio GroupShare can now simply engage with consumers in their preferred language, enriching the overall customer experience.

To address the constantly evolving business pace and the way individuals and teams work together, the SDL Studio GroupShare combines translation memory, terminology and project management in a single location.

"SDL Studio GroupShare allows us to be more flexible in the way our teams organize themselves, assign resources and manage distributed projects," explained Klaus Fleischmann, managing director at eurocom Translation Services GmbH, in a release. "This makes the whole group more efficient and ensures that all project-specific know-how and settings are recalled to be reused and leveraged in future projects."

Officials claim that SDL Studio GroupShare’s out-of-the-box integration with SDL Trados Studio, a product created for translator productivity, enables teams and groups of translators to instantly be more productive in a familiar environment.

"With increasing translation demands and new ways of working gaining traction, we have worked with our customers to learn how we can help them be successful in a more dynamic translation environment," Swamy Viswanathan, senior vice president of products and marketing for the SDL Language Technologies division added.
