EMC Hybrid Cloud Solution is Easy to Deploy and Secure

Also the performance, security, and compliance of the private cloud is enhanced with the delivery of compatible, on-demand services from EMC-powered cloud service providers.

The cloud solution is based on a software-defined data center architecture that encompasses technologies like the EMC storage and data protection, Pivotal CF Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and the Pivotal Big Data Suite.

The EMC hybrid cloud supports VMware cloud management and virtualization solutions, along with VMware vCloud Hybrid Service, and will soon offer support for OpenStack and Microsoft (News - Alert) environments, added officials.

The EMC foundational services help streamline the implementation of the EMC hybrid cloud solution within a customers’ IT environment. EMC’s portfolio of advanced services help customers to leverage all the features of the hybrid cloud, application modernization, workload migration and the IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) models.

IT professionals will greatly benefit from the combined private and public cloud solution, as it is easy to deploy and helps them improve their IT management capabilities, enhance health and performance monitoring, and get complete control over the IT environment.

EMC Corporation (News - Alert) also announced a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held DSSD, Inc., the developer of an innovative new rack-scale flash storage architecture for I/O-intensive in-memory databases and Big Data workloads like SAP (News - Alert) HANA and Hadoop.
