Level 3 Communications (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of enterprise, government, and carrier communications services, has entered into new agreement with Vyve Broadband, a U.S.-based cable and Internet services provider, to deliver the Level 3 Carrier Cloud Voice Solution.

Delivered in conjunction with technology partner Alianza (News - Alert), Level 3’s Carrier Cloud Voice service helps users focus on growth instead of network management and technology development.

The company says that it designed the solution to help telcos, CLECs and ISPs generate new revenue rapidly by making a comprehensive voice portfolio available to business and residential subscribers over fixed and wireless broadband networks.

Thanks to the Level 3 Carrier Cloud Voice Solution, Vyve will now be able to augment its delivery of voice services and ensure a reliable customer experience while minimizing the typical infrastructure and ongoing operating expenses of an in-house solution.

“Vyve Broadband was formed with a core strategy to provide a truly, next-generation broadband customer experience to the largely underserved markets that we have recently acquired,” said Vin Zachariah, senior vice president of residential services for Vyve Broadband, in a statement.

Zachariah said that after a rigorous analysis of all of the potential voice technology partners, Vyve is confident that the Level 3 cloud voice solution is the best offering for the company’s commercial and residential customers.

Officials with Level 3 said that the Carrier Cloud Voice Solution combines the company's voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) Enhanced Local Service with Alianza's Cloud Voice Platform. The result is a turnkey solution that combines a broad network footprint with a comprehensive hosted platform to deliver residential and business VoIP services with a lower total cost of voice delivery.

“Carrier-grade, cloud-based voice solutions solve several key challenges faced by cable providers who wish to deliver comprehensive service bundles to their customers while simultaneously driving revenue growth,” said Shaun Andrews, senior vice president of global voice services, Level.

Andrews said that emerging IP-based voice services are evolving at a rapid pace, so this solution helps service providers 'future proof' their voice offering and stay on the cutting edge of new features, freeing up resources to focus investment on core growth platforms and ongoing technological advancements.
