Dimension Data, the $6 billion global ICT solutions and services provider recently received the prestigious Cisco (News - Alert) Masters Unified Communication certification.
Officials said this recognition showcases the highest level of expertise with Cisco Voice and Unified Communications (News - Alert) solutions.
In a press statement, Jay Reddy, Dimension Data Executive for Communications, said: "We are proud that Cisco has recognized us for the hard work, experience and advanced industry certifications of our team. To be the only company in South Africa to hold this status is a true testament to our team's skills and expertise and separates us from the competition."
It was only after a stringent auditing process that Dimension Data (News - Alert) was awarded this prestigious status from Cisco.
The auditing process looked into master-level sales, technical and services capabilities; the number of Cisco Certified Interwork Experts and Information Technology Infrastructure Library certified engineers; customer references documenting Cisco-prescribed design and deployment capabilities; and evidence that Dimension Data MEA possesses the infrastructure needed to support a full menu of life cycle services offerings and capabilities.
The communications business of Dimension Data has seen tremendous growth, driven by the Cisco solutions, it has implemented for clients.
Kevin Hardy, Cisco South Africa Sales Director, added: "We have enjoyed many years working with Dimension Data, and the Master Unified Communications specialization demonstrates its master-level of expertise of our Voice and Unified Communications solutions.”
He further added: “We are delighted to have Dimension Data as one of our partners and being able to participate in the Cisco channel incentive programmes, which strengthens its ability to capture market opportunities, add value to client business and increase sales."
Earlier in February, TMCnet reported that Dimension Data will soon debut its Cloud Backup service for Sydney, Australia residents.
