Markley Group, a mission-critical telecommunications and data center operator, recently announced that SYNETY, a cloud-based software and communications company, has chosen to collocate at Markley Group’s One Summer Street data center in Boston.  With the agreement, SYNETY will now be able to save on upfront capital costs, take advantage of the facility’s high security and uptime guarantees as well as expand their data center footprint.

Markley Group's building has 920,000 square feet of highly secured white and mechanical space housing more than 200 industry leading companies, including AT&T, NTT, British Telecom, Tata Communications (News - Alert), Boston Red Sox, Harvard, MIT, the Boston Internet Peering Exchange (BOSIX) and The New York Times. The carrier-neutral facility enables access to more than 80+ independent network providers and eight utility feeds from multiple substations for uninterrupted, reliable power and service. One Summer Street is maintained by more than 30 on-staff professional engineers, operating engineers, electricians, HVAC and telco technicians, and building maintenance staff 24/7/365.

“Companies – especially those like SYNETY that are in their growth phase – need to concentrate on what’s most important; namely, providing services and value to their customers,” said Jeffrey D. Markley, CEO of Markley Group. “They need a data center partner that can ease their burden by quickly and easily providing them the connectivity and redundancy they need to fuel that growth and success.”

Recently, Continuum, the industry's only channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed services, relocated its data center to a premier facility hosted by Markley Group. Continuum's data center relocation includes 100 percent replacement of equipment from the company's previous data center. This new data center follows another recent, major move this year by Continuum where the company doubled its Network Operations Center capacity, moving to a larger, more technologically advanced facility in Mumbai, India.
