'HOSTING' Offers Virtualized Cloud Services Using LineRate Platform

Denver-based HOSTING has announced that it is now using F5 LineRate application proxy software to offer its virtualized cloud services offerings.

The new deployment will help HOSTING to provide a vastly customized, single-tenant cloud solution in a virtualized environment, with a subscription pricing model to mid-sized companies.

With the power of custom traffic management, HOSTING is able to offer customized enterprise-class cloud traffic management services, segregated by higher service-level agreements. LineRate’s convenient pay-as-you-use model is helping the company to cut down investments in infrastructure and management. This platform centralizes common functionality to avoid repeated application tier queries to over-burdened and less scalable services.

“LineRate allows us to set our business apart by offering superior customer service,” said Darrell Hyde, HOSTING’s Chief Technology Officer. “With LineRate, we can give customers a dedicated environment where they are empowered with full control. They can easily manage traffic with the added benefit of deeper insights into their IT spend.”

LineRate is designed to easily integrate with a user’s orchestration system for automated deployment and capacity on demand. It helps manage the way users want to, with human-friendly GUI and CLI, or automate and monitor all aspects of the system with full REST API.

HOSTING is also making use of the REST API to create exclusive feature set that customers require, delivered as part of LineRate’s secure, fault-tolerant, and reliable software architecture.

Also, LineRate’s technology impeccably integrates with the HOSTING Customer Portal and dashboard, enabling its customers to monitor traffic, and add and removes servers, who can also intelligently perform maintenance and upgrades with zero downtime. 

Eric Pfleckl, vice president of technical services at Natural Insight and a HOSTING customer, said that the HOSTING solution allows them to see the applications, create test and stage environments, and reduce downtime.

“We also no longer worry about the specific infrastructure and investments involved. Our new LineRate-based solution will give us the performance and headroom we need as our business grows,” Pfleckl added.

LineRate is currently available as part of HOSTING’s enterprise public cloud offerings.
