Cologix now has a massive footprint in downtown Toronto, with the announcement that the company has completed its new 3,000-square-foot colocation space at 151 Front Street. The new space brings the network neutral interconnection and colocation company's footprint to 30,000 square feet at the Front Street location.

The company will offer more than 50,000 square feet in Toronto, once its additional space at 905 King Street is complete. The expansions were made in response to increasing customer demand for scalability and network density within the downtown carrier hotel and affirm Cologix's commitment to the Toronto area.

The new space at Front Street features two suites, which have already been presold strongly. Remaining capacity is available for customers who need a dedicated suite or a shared colocation environment in the downtown area. The location at Front Street is Canada's largest and most important connection point and is already nearing capacity.

The new suites may represent one of the last opportunities for providers to secure a footprint at the Front Street address.

Features of the new suites include connectivity to more than 140 networks and service providers in both the Cologix facility and BMMR. They also provide hot aisle containment with N+1 in row cooling technology that can deliver uniform cooling across switches and servers. Additional features include multiple UPS configurations that are available from N to 2N+1; real-time monitoring of environmental, electrical and security systems; and modular power distribution that enables customized power delivery to the rack within 24 hours.

In addition to the Toronto footprint, Cologix has facilities in Dallas, Minneapolis, Montreal and Vancouver, with headquarters in Denver. The company provides more than 300 network choices and 11 interconnection locations, serving more than 550 carrier, managed service provider (MSP), cloud, media, content, financial service and enterprise customers.
