To meet its customer’s needs, Sify (News - Alert) will be able to broaden its customized enterprise class cloud services as a CloudAgile partner. Among the cost-sensitive and performance-focused customers, Sify’s pay-per-use model for the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) services will now find greater acceptance. 

By provisioning infrastructure and applications across physical and virtual environments with the least turnaround time, powered by HP CloudSystem Matrix, HP’s converged Infrastructure will allow Sify to reduce the total cost of ownership of customers. 

To help drive uptake of its cloud solutions in India, access to HP’s network of channel partners, sales and marketing support will be granted to Sify. In 2010, revenue from public IT cloud services exceeded $21.5 billion as reported by IDC (News - Alert).

Representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27.6 percent, it is expected to reach $72.9 billion in 2015.

For the worldwide IT market as a whole (6.7 percent), this is over four times the projected growth.

By 2015, one of every $7 spent on packaged software, server and storage offerings will be through the public cloud model. 

Kamal Nath, CEO at Sify Technologies, stated that Sify had ensured that its Enterprise clients got the best of both worlds – Technology and Applications – over the course of building critical volume in the data center business.

“This partnership further validates Sify’s cloud service and complexity of deployments as being on par with the best in the industry while providing ample proof of our increasing capabilities and multiple service lines in the cloud business,” he added.

Neelam Dhawan, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Group and Country Managing Director, HP India, concluded by stating that to enable enterprises to increase efficiency, improve agility and respond to changing customer business requirements quickly, it requires IT.

Sify solutions built on HP CloudSystem Matrix will allow enterprises to access infrastructure and applications faster on the cloud thereby giving it a competitive edge in the market.
