I thank Shell for their confidence in us," said Reinhard Clemens, member of Deutsche Telekom's Board of Management and T-Systems CEO. "T-Systems is a truly international service provider with a broad spectrum of secure cloud computing services."
Deutsche Telekom aims to strengthen its growth with cloud services over the next few years. According to analysts, Telekom is ahead of the field with managed clouds for corporate customers.T-Systems plans and implements WANs on the basis of its own network infrastructure, integrating customer sites across the globe and ensuring the dependable, secure transmission of data.
The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary can manage and maintain the full spectrum of IT resources as well, from mainframes to open source. Customers can choose between in-house operations or a variety of outsourcing options.
T-Systems analyzes the client’s existing environment, identifies weaknesses and proposes improvements. This provides a solid basis for designing strategies to ensure the smooth implementation of a stable, flexible infrastructure managed by T-Systems.
In related news, Deutsche Telekom completed work bang on target at Frankfurt Airport, where it has assumed responsibility for around 15,000 fixed and 6,000 mobile lines for Fraport, who operate one of the world's leading air traffic hubs – and did so during ongoing operations. The changeover took place without the slightest hassle. This means Fraport employees can still be reached on their previous numbers after the change to the new provider.
The customer was won over by the outstanding quality of Deutsche Telekom's network and the fact that all services are provided from a single source: mobile communications, fixed-line telephony and WLAN, Internet access and data center, network and service desks.
