PlusOne recently announced that it will now provide customers with a enterprise-class suite of Cloud-based services from its Chicago, IL Datacenter facility. The company’s latest offering, which is based on PeakColo’s VMware vCloud Powered solutions, will further build on its colocation services offerings. PlusOne is a specialist data center solutions provider.
In a statement, Kevin Francis, PlusOne's director of Real Estate, said that, "PlusOne will differentiate itself by delivering its own branded, enterprise-class Cloud-based services to our customers. In addition to these Cloud-based services, our operating model will continue to deliver best-in-class infrastructure solutions comparable to nationally recognized competitors, but at a more attractive value to customers."
As cloud computing takes precedence, a large number of PlusOne customers are keen on deploying cloud services capable of running as enterprise-class Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). The company’s product and services portfolio however, includes reliable physical infrastructure and colocation services, and not cloud technology. This is why PlusOne went ahead with finding a partner capable of delivering a white-label IaaS solution.
Luke Norris, CEO and founder of PeakColo, said that, "We are delighted to enter into this relationship with PlusOne for their white-label usage of our WhiteCloud Services. In partnering with PeakColo, PlusOne is able to immediately offer its customers efficient and reliable Cloud-based services with enterprise-class features and performance.”
After careful considerations, PlusOne decided to leverage PeakColo’s WhiteCloud Services solution. Denver, CO-based, PeakColo specializes in white-label Cloud-based services that are based on VMware and NetApp technologies. Based on its design, development, support capabilities, PeakColo’s WhiteCloud Services enjoy world-wide usage and have successfully been certified as VMware vCloud Powered.
PlusOne provides its customers with flexible, carrier-neutral colocation services. The company’s suite of solutions have been designed to address a number of challenges such as demanding uptime, security, and scalability which are inherent within today’s enterprise environments.
