Cloud data center solutions not only provide results for optimized physical infrastructures, but also enable organizations to be more responsive, improve operational efficiency and increase strategic relevance to their business. TMCnet was there this week to report on all the latest cloud data center news. Here are a few highlights:
While there are several network cabling options, the clear advantage goes to fiber optic cabling, which provides faster speeds, higher density, and top reliability.
Solutions such as Panduit’s Opti-Core fiber optic technology allow for speeds of 40G/100G for Ethernet longer than 150 meters, according to the company, making fiber optic cabling bring the speed necessary for cloud data centers. With setups, such as Panduit’s Signature Core Fiber Optic Cabling System, signal integrity can be maintained beyond all other types of multimode fiber. Read more about the system by clicking here.
In other cloud data center news this week, Guardtime partnered with CAT Buzz, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CAT Telecom Public Company Limited, a government-owned telecom in Thailand; and CloudSec Asia, an international information security firm, to deliver document integrity solutions in Thailand.
Guardtime is a source of keyless signature technology for validating the integrity and authenticity of digital data. Guardtime Keyless Signatures are binary tags, or “signatures,” for electronic data that vouch for the signing time, signing entity and that not a single bit has changed since that signing time. Finally this week, independent research firm Forrester released its lab-based evaluations from Q3 2012 of nine big data predictive analytics solutions, and SAS (News - Alert) came out on top.
The report, “The Forrester Wave: Big Data Predictive Analytics Solutions, Q1 2013,” says that among the 10 vendors evaluated, SAS is “an analytics powerhouse,” and, along with another vendor, an “unshakable leader” in the analysis of big data predictive analytics solutions.
The piece details Forrester’s (News - Alert) findings about how well each solution fulfills the criteria and where they stand in relation to one another, and helps application development and delivery professionals select the right big data predictive analytics solution.
Details of the report can be found here.
