Cirrus Turns to Data Centers Canada for Private Cloud Infrastructure

By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer

Major provider of Web hosting services in Canada, Cirrus Tech, recently turned to Data Centers Canada for its new private cloud infrastructure. Cirrus' cloud hosting customers will benefit from Data Centers Canada's colocation services with improved scalability and a fully resilient environment for housing private cloud servers.

This new partnership expands Cirrus' existing geo-redundant Canadian colocation setup.

“We’re a big fan of what Data Centers Canada is doing,” said Cirrus CEO Ehsan Mirdamadi in a statement. “They already power some of our major managed clients in Toronto, and it just made good sense to bring them on board for our private cloud servers infrastructure. Their facilities are second to none. With them as our backbone, we can offer our private cloud customers guarantees in security and redundancy with utmost confidence. We simply wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Now that private cloud servers and cloud hosting services from Cirrus have Data Centers Canada as their infrastructure backbone, users can be assured of full redundancy with their cloud hosting plans to meet business data security needs. Cirrus private cloud users will also benefit from having multiple locations for data housing and help with disaster recovery planning and setup.

Indeed, Data Center Canada's connectivity, power, climate control and security infrastructure are powered by best in class technology, which it has to be as the company's data centers house a number of high-level clients including government, Fortune 1000 companies and technology service providers.

Last month, Cirrus forged a new partnership with cloud telephony provider Infratel to offer MightyCall Receptionist to small business subscribers in both the U.S. and Canada. Specifically, this partnership allows Infratel to incorporate its MightyCall platform into Cirrus' ordering and provisioning system, Parallels Automation, to offer cost-effective virtual phone applications.

MightyCall allows service providers to add website click-to-call and small business virtual phone systems to their portfolios.
