Alorica Opening New Call Center in San Antonio

Call centers all over the world are seeing a resurgence, and it appears that San Antonio is one of the newest places to see a rise in call center jobs. According to the Herald Online, the Texas town is the site of a brand new center set up by Alorica. The company is one of the world’s leading customer management outsourcing solutions companies and late last week the firm announced it was bringing more than 300 positions to San Antonio.


“The opening of our San Antonio office strategically aligns with our AloriCares employment initiative to support military and service-disabled veterans and their spouses,” said Andy Lee, CEO of Alorica. “San Antonio has one of the nation’s largest active and retired military communities, and we look forward to tapping into the wealth of talent ‘Military City USA’ has to offer.”

In order to fill the massive number of positions that are going to be available for this new call center, the company has announced a number of job fair events during the middle of February. On February 10, 11 and 12 the company will be offering up the ability to quickly and easily interview for positions at the call center. Once are the 300 positions have been filled, the center will be in a 35,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that will be a customer service base for satellite television and media companies. The new employees that will be working at the new call center will be those working in sales, team managers and operations and quality assurance related positions.

While Alorica is likely very happy to be having the new call center, the city of San Antonio is obviously quite happy to have these new jobs popping up in the area. Call centers have become a big boon for a number of cities and towns around the country.
