Axios Systems, providers of IT Service Management solutions,
reportedly announced that Louisville Jefferson Metro has rolled out its ITIL-based solution, “assyst,” to support 6,000 end users across 46 government and quasi-government agencies.
Assyst offers a lifecycle approach to IT Service Management through the integration of Help Desk and Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset and Configuration Management and Service Level Management processes in a single solution.
The consolidation is a key strength of assyst, as it guides the user intuitively through the processes in turn, ensuring a Best Practice implementation every time.
Louisville Jefferson Metro provides a wide range of services to 700,000 residents in a 386 square mile area of Kentucky. It trained its employees on the IT Infrastructure Library, and aimed to have 100 percent of its IT team ITIL Foundation certified.
The selection team at LJM say they discovered that assyst was effective, both financially and functionally, and could meet their 200 solution requirements.
Ross McIntosh, vice president of Axios in North America said, “The simplicity of assyst’s single platform is being leveraged well by the team at Louisville Metro. The organization has deployed assyst across 46 different agencies. Even more impressive, this has been done purely through configuration, requiring no customization of the code whatsoever. More and more organizations are moving to consolidate their IT services into a shared Service Desk, and Louisville Metro is a great example of this.”
Implementing assyst in an organization offers benefits such as improved Help Desk effectiveness, optimized IT infrastructure efficiency, reduced total cost of IT ownership and a rapid Return on Investment.
To add value to the assyst solution, Axios also offers pre-integrated complementary solutions such as Password Management, Asset Management or Remote Control.
