Integra5, a provider of services that blend quad play bundles into converged services for simultaneous delivery across TVs and PCs and Solusoft, a Panama-based IT consulting firm, have announced a partnership to deliver Integra5-provided converged applications to telecom and cable operators in the Caribbean and Central American regions.
The agreement provides that Solusoft will resell Integra5’s Converged Services Platform (i5 CSP (News - Alert)) and i-Communicate applications, such as TV Caller ID, PC Caller ID, Message Waiting Indication, Call Log on TV/PC and SMS to TV/PC, as well as its own suite of network assessment, implementation and integration services.
This combination delivers to service providers a comprehensive, turnkey converged services solution to accelerate time-to-market for these products throughout the Caribbean and Central America.
Having completed an extensive analysis of the converged service opportunity in its markets, Solusoft is already in discussion with multiple service providers about using Integra5 applications to blend their triple and quad play bundles.
The company’s first Integra5 deployment is expected to take place in October, when a Panama-based triple play

provider launches TV Caller ID.
"Due to increased industry competition, advances with IPTV

and growing consumer demand for triple and quad play services, the timing is perfect for the introduction of converged applications like TV Caller ID into the markets we serve," said Mario Typaldos, chief executive officer of Solusoft, in a Wednesday statement.
"We are excited to partner with Integra5, the leader in converged services, to bring the revenue, customer loyalty and competitive differentiation benefits to our service provider customers."
Based on a distributed, network-based architecture, Integra5’s IMS-compatible i5 CSP features patented technology and requires no truck rolls or new in-home hardware. The architecture enables delivery of real-time converged content and communications across voice, video, data and wireless services.
The i5 CSP is standards-based and highly scalable, enabling it to support up to millions of subscribers while also providing applications-level personalization across multiple set-top boxes, PCs and telephony lines within the home.
"Solusoft's 17 years of providing customers with consulting and technology services make the company an ideal partner as we expand Integra5's global footprint," said Integra5 CEO Meredith Flynn-Ripley, in Wednesday’s statement.
"Our products have proven to increase revenues and provide competitive differentiation for service providers both abroad and in the U.S., and we look forward to leveraging Solusoft's distribution channel to bring these advantages to a wider array of customers throughout the Caribbean and Central America."
This agreement spells expansion and increased revenue for Integra5 as it extends its service offerings into new markets. The demand for converged services continues to grow throughout the world, presenting significant opportunities for the company.
The agreement with Solusoft will help to facilitate the expansion of the Integra5 footprint, while also strengthening the brand in these new markets. In doing so, service provider buy-in will be accelerated, thus accelerating adoption and thus pushing revenues for both companies and service providers.
