A leading provider of high-quality electrical, communications and data networking products, with a special focus on related supply chain management and logistics services, Graybar has appointed Bob Siegel as its new vice president. In this new role, Siegel is going to lead the company’s product management team.
In a press release, Graybar (News - Alert) said that the appointment follows the recent retirement of Bruce Judkins as vice president of electrical.
According to the company, Siegel, who has been with Graybar for nearly 27 years, will be bringing a wealth of experience into this new position. Over the course of his career, he held roles in customer service, sales, purchasing, information technology, and product management. Before being promoted to the new post, Siegel was serving as a senior national product manager at Graybar's corporate headquarters.
Through the release, Graybar further announced that the company decided to expand the roles of two current executives. Bill Mansfield, who has been the vice president of industrial, will now also be leading the commercial segment of the company’s operations. Steve Stone, the vice president of communications/data, will now be heading electrical construction and comm/data, which includes all communications/data and utility customers.
“Increasing our value in the supply chain is critical to Graybar's success. These appointments are designed to drive long-term growth by positioning Graybar as the distributor of choice for both suppliers and customers in the markets we serve,” Graybar's executive vice president and chief operating officer, Kathleen M. Mazzarella, said in a statement.
Through a separate statement, Graybar announced the appointment of Bob Lyons to the position of senior vice president of U.S. business, effective April 1. Lyons will replace Dick Offenbacher, who will be retiring after nearly 43 years with the company. Offenbacher and Lyons serve on Graybar's Board of Directors. Offenbacher will resign from the board upon his retirement.
The company said that Graybar veteran of nearly 32 years, Lyons currently serves as district vice president of Graybar's Tampa district. In his new assignment, he will oversee Graybar's field organization throughout the United States.
