Avaya DevConnect Partners Unveils New Capabilities to Enhance Collaboration

Avaya, a dealer in enterprise communications systems, asserted that its Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) Partners have unveiled new capabilities for Avaya IP Office in order to enhance collaboration of SMEs across industries.



According to Avaya, companies by joining the DevConnect program can have access to a wide range of technical resources, know-how and tools, enabling one to dramatically improve the value of their intelligent communications solutions. The company claimed that its membership has grown by over 16 percent in the last year and there are over 1,400 Avaya (News - Alert) compliance tested solutions, with 30 to 40 new solutions added per month.

Built from the ground up specifically for small and medium-size businesses, IP Office supposedly delivers the communications capabilities big businesses are used to – with the elegant simplicity and ease of use small businesses consider a “must have”.

Some of the apps developed for Avaya IP Office from partners include:

- InTouch from AdvaTel – a UC application that brings together internal presence and federated presence to all of one's external contacts via Yahoo!, Skype (News - Alert), MSN Lync and Outlook calendar. With the ability operate without the need of a server, the new solutions lets users to switch between voice telephony, instant messaging (IM), SMS and email with a simple click.

- DuVoice DV2000 – a messaging system and Property Management System (PMS) interface designed for Avaya IP Office with the hospitality industry in focus. It is a one voice mail, auto attendant, IVR system to address the needs of organizations with a dozen users or with thousands. Options like rack mounting, duel SCSI hard disk drives, IVR and fax server applications mean that DV2000 can be tailored to meet users’ exact needs.

- Cablevision's Optimum (News - Alert) Voice SIP Trunking – a voice service made possible via a converged voice and data network that can scale as needed for up to 100 employees. Designers of this solution claimed that it as an affordable, easy-to-manage communications system built specifically for SMEs.

- KnoahSoft Harmony suite – that complements and enhances Avaya IP Office’s customer service capabilities. KnoahSoft (News - Alert) extends state-of-the-art customer service to the SME environment by integrating the IP Office with features such as secure call recording, silent monitoring, screen capture of agent sessions, as well as extensive quality management and reporting capabilities based on search parameters.

- e-IVR from Computer Instruments – companies, schools, churches and others can deploy the solution to connect to their constituents automatically to remind them of appointments, inform them of school cancellations, and alert them of emergencies.

- Telecor VS-600 Staff Call Station – integrates the abilities of the staff call system, and helps IP Office offer features to retirement and assisted living facilities that improve communications among residents and staff members.
