MegaPath’s (News - Alert) Hosted Voice solution was honored as Best VoIP and Unified Communication Product in Network Products Guide’s 2011 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards.

The Network Products Guide awards recognize companies’ achievements in multiple areas, including organizational performance, products and services, executives and management teams, successful deployments, product management and engineering, support and customer satisfaction and public relations efforts. The winners were honored during an awards ceremony in Las Vegas on May 10.

In 2010, the company combined with Speakeasy and Covad (News - Alert) to form a single company providing a full range of data, voice, and security services for small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises nationwide.

MegaPath’s Hosted Voice is said to enable small-to-medium size businesses (SMBs) and enterprises with a high performance, lower cost alternative to traditional phone systems. The company also guarantees Quality of Service (QoS), which ensures that voice traffic and business-critical applications take highest priority. Additionally, its Hosted Voice also is said to offer low start-up costs, flexible plans and advanced features, such as Remote Office for mobile and virtual workers and Voicemail as Email.

Recently, the company’s Hosted Voice and Integrated Voice solutions received INTERNET TELEPHONY’s 2010 Product of the Year award.

TMC (News - Alert) earlier announced the launch of MPLS Global Online Community, sponsored by MegaPath, as the newest addition to the TMCnet Online Community program.
