Avaya (News - Alert), a provider of business collaboration and communications solutions, has inducted WAN 2.0 assurance solutions provider Streamcore as a member of the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program.

According to Avaya, as a partner program, DevConnect offers for-pay options that provide enhanced technical support, discounts on equipment and software for lab systems, a full compliance testing program, and co-marketing benefits. Members of this program will have access to: no-cost, downloadable Software Development Kits (SDKs), software libraries, and related technical documentation; interoperability notes from Avaya's Solution and Interoperability Test Lab to assist in deploying Avaya products in their respective environment; step-by-step tutorials, in-depth training courses, and webinars; and more.

The program also promotes the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions. As a member, one can get valuable insights to extent the value of multivendor networks and convert their voice into an intelligent business application.

Streamcore asserted that its solutions provide enterprises with innovative real-time monitoring, supervision, reporting and advanced performance control for real-time communications such as VoIP and room-based or desktop videoconferencing. Its solutions provide the three pillars of a comprehensive WAN assurance: service delivery management, service support management and business service management.

Streamcore added that membership in Avaya's developer community will help it deliver combined solutions with exceptional quality to end-users. Building on Avaya resources, it can deliver a compliance-tested solution to the market that helps businesses manage the challenges associated with the growth of real-time communication and collaboration traffic over the network.

Officials with Avaya noted that developer partners like Streamcore are helping Avaya users maximize their investment in unified communications and collaboration. With its monitoring and performance tools supporting network resources, Streamcore solutions can help promote successful deployments for Avaya's unified communication and collaboration solutions.

In other news, Streamcore recently introduced its new StreamGroomer 350 (SG350) appliance for mid-sized branch offices. Streamcore's SG350 gives these branch offices an affordable way to achieve excellent application and communication performance with data transmission up to 20 megabits per second. The SG350 has two pairs of LAN/WAN ports and sits in-line between the local area network (LAN) and two routers. It is fully transparent with fail-to-wire capability, allowing the appliance to function transparently if power is lost.
