He noted that Ciena's unique approach to coherent networking and its flexible architectures would enable AllStream to unlock the potential of its network and optimize its performance.
In related news, Tata Communications (News - Alert), a global communications service provider that owns and operates the world’s largest subsea cable network, announced the launch of 40 Gigabits per second enabled services on its TGN-Atlantic subsea cable system from New York to London. The upgrade will deliver bandwidth and flexibility to carriers and enterprises around the world with four times the capacity of traditional 10G wavelengths.
