According to a recent press release, IntercomsOnline.com has unveiled IO-738, the longest-range outdoor wireless intercom system available for two-way communication and remote entrance unlocking.
It is vandal and weather resistant and easily fits into residential gates, office building entrances or any application that requires a durable yet unobtrusive appearance. With the IO-738, distances measured in miles can be reached. The feature makes the system different from other systems that have a communication range of less than a thousand feet under ideal conditions.
A user can activate a monitor to listen in to the area around the intercom with IO-738’s built-in audio surveillance capability. Also, the system includes an internal switch that can be used to activate a door or gate controller, switch on a light, sound an alarm or for any application where remote control of an on/off switch is needed.
"We are frequently contacted by people in the security, access control, and fencing industry that need products they don't have in their normal portfolio,” said IntercomsOnline.com marketing director David Onslow, in a statement. “We've been able to provide those products for them, but the one thing we were missing until now is a gate intercom without an industrial appearance. With the new IO-738 MURS Multi-Mile Wireless Communication System we now have that product."
Operating on one of five channels in the unlicensed MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) frequencies, IO-738 eliminates the need of FCC (News - Alert) licensing. This intercom can be used for security gates, delivery doors, loading docks, golf course order systems, office entry systems, boat docks, parking lot security, construction elevators, truck scales, OSHA compliance, storage facilities, areas of refuge, campgrounds, school playgrounds, etc.
