CSC reportedly has entered into a global strategic alliance with Proximetry, a provider of network and performance management solutions for wireless networks.  

 

According to CSC officials, the combination of the company’s industry expertise and network services capabilities, coupled with Proximetry’s (News - Alert) AirSync software, creates a new intelligent wireless services platform enabling a series of new business solutions and services for the transportation and energy industries.

 

“Traditionally, human intervention has been required for data collection, asset interrogation and content loading,” said Mary Jo Morris, president of CSC’s technology and consumer group, in a statement.  

 

Morris said that with this new service, data and content can be distributed and collected in real time – streamlining existing processes, eliminating manual tasks, and enabling the creation of new revenue generating services for transportation and energy businesses.

CSC is a major player in providing technology-enabled solutions and services through three primary lines of business. These include business solutions and services, the managed services sector and the North American public sector.

 

Company officials said that the collaboration between CSC and Proximetry results in a unique combination of service and software not yet seen in the market. Unlike existing enterprise wireless network solutions, CSC’s intelligent wireless network service, enabled by AirSync, extends the enterprise wireless capability beyond its physical real estate, providing secure and intelligent provisioning of real-time mission critical data, anytime, anywhere and across multiple wireless protocols and networks as needed.

Recently, CSC had announced the launch of its new Unified Communications (News - Alert) Services Portfolio, a suite of services engineered to enhance enterprise business processes and reduce human latency.

 

CSC will design, build, integrate and manage this suite of services for Enterprise customers globally, enabling them to optimize costs and increase competitive advantage through innovation and agility.
