Amcom Software Inc. announced that St.John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois has chosen its smartphone messaging system, Amcom Mobile Connect.
According to hospital sources the Amcom solution was selected owing to its ability to provide confirmations of all messages delivered to staff members.
Besides St.John several other hospitals have made Mobile Connect an integral part of their communication infrastructure, said Amcom sources.
St. John's is implementing the solution as part of its project to upgrade its existing Amcom contact center solutions, including operator consoles and Web-based on-call scheduling. Also the project is expected to establish an integrated communications system for all messaging that leverages a single source of contact and schedule information. This will allow staff to communicate easily with physicians using iPhone, Android (
