GlobalCollect, a provider of local e-payment solutions for international Customer Not-Present “CNP” channels such as the Internet, mail and telephone orders, has reportedly partnered with AVG Technologies to facilitate electronic payments in the 167 countries where AVG software is currently available.

 

According to officials with GlobalCollect (News - Alert), the company will deploy its Merchant Link solution to offer AVG full control over shopping cart and check out procedures while providing access to its unrivalled portfolio of local, alternative, and international payment methods.

 

In addition, AVG will use GlobalCollect’s comprehensive Fraud Screening Service, which features a wide range of integrated fraud reduction tools to maximize transaction safety prior to authorization.

 

Company officials also said that they are currently handling AVG’s card payments worldwide, and will subsequently process additional local and alternative payment methods such eWallets, direct debits, and real-time bank transfers.
