Ekinops, a company that designs and supplies next generation optical transport equipment for service providers and enterprises, has signed an agreement with Marubeni Information Systems or MSYS, a provider of high value-added solutions and services, to sell, support, and maintain Ekinops (News - Alert) equipment in Japan.

As per the terms of this agreement, Ekinops and MSYS will work together to market the Ekinops 360 metro, regional, and long haul DWDM platform in Japan.

The Ekinops 360 plaform, with its Transport on a Chip technology, is designed to address the varied and dynamic requirements of Japanese service providers and enterprises, who transport a wide variety of traffic types, including SONET, video, Ethernet, and Fibre Channel. Also, both the companies believe that with the Ekinops 360 portfolio, provider will have a solution that delivers the lowest total cost of ownership, in a single platform, with high performance and high stability and quality.
