Ekinops (News - Alert) the designer and provider of next generation optical transport equipment to various service providers and enterprises has signed an agreement with Marubeni Information Systems(MSYS), whereby MSYS will be selling, supporting, and maintaining Ekinops equipment in the Japanese telecom services provider market. MSYS is a provider of high value-added solutions and services.

The two companies have said that they are focusing together on the world's largest optical equipment market which is in Japan. This market has been continuously growing as service providers have been upgrading their networks for transporting the additional traffic generated by advanced technologies like 4G wireless and fiber to the home.

As per the agreement Ekinops and MSYS will be working together to bring the Ekinops 360 metro, regional and the long haul DWDM platform for marketing in Japan. The Ekinops 360 platform along with its T-Chip (Transport on a Chip) technology, has a unique position to deal with the diverse and dynamic requirements of Japanese service providers and enterprises, who deal with transporting a huge variety of traffic types, like SONET, video, Ethernet, and Fibre Channel. The Ekinops 360 portfolio is a solution which delivers the least total cost of ownership for a single platform along with high performance and unmatched stability and quality.

Ekinops' T-Chip technology enables the above mentioned capabilities and more, reducing down all the electronics in a transport system to a single uniquely programmable chip.
