GENBAND Simplifies SIP Trunking Rollouts

Communications service providers (CSPs) and system integrators (SIs) are always trying to find the latest technology and deliver it to their customers without complications while saving costs. Depending on the technology, this is not always possible, but GENBAND (News - Alert) has introduced its Kandy Business SIP Trunk Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Global SIP Trunk solution so CSPs and SIs can roll out SIP Trunking capabilities and introduce new product to market faster to generate new streams of revenue.

GENBAND provides real-time communications software solutions for service providers, enterprises, independent software vendors, systems integrators and developers in more than 80 countries around the world. The company built Kandy on its global telecommunications network and security technologies as a development platform for real-time communications so service providers can easily embed a full suite of voice, video, chat, screen-sharing and collaboration capabilities into their existing business, Web and mobile applications. 

The introduction of the Kandy Business SIP Trunk Infrastructure as a Service and Global SIP Trunk solution is going to further expand this capability for CSPs and SIs to lower the complexities of the operational challenges when they roll out SIP Trunking. This is a cloud-based solution combining comprehensive communications applications, including enterprise SIP Trunk security, PBX (News - Alert) federation and advanced session management capabilities with innovative mobility, Unified Communications (UC) and WebRTC overlay functionality.

The cloud platform lets service providers reach international businesses with global SIP Trunks by on boarding enterprise customers faster with instant provisioning via simple self-service portals. This can grow revenues beyond the voice and data bundles by including new hosted PBX overlay services. And existing enterprise PBX investments can be enhanced with business continuity, user-centric session management, advanced mobility, SIP and WebRTC-based overlay services and an API platform for contextual communications.

“Our new Kandy Business SIP Trunk service allows enterprises, SIs, resellers and service providers to simplify enterprise transformation to SIP and accelerate time-to-market by leveraging three critical areas of need for modern enterprises – cloud, mobility and contextual communications,” said Patrick Joggerst (News - Alert), Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at GENBAND.

GENBAND sees lower CAPEX by using a hosted and fully-redundant managed infrastructure with industry-leading Session Border Controller (SBC), and OPEX (News - Alert) will also be lower as application servers reduce PBX interoperability costs, simplify maintenance and reduce operational complexities. Some of the additional benefits include, instant SIP Trunk provisioning, accelerate time-to-market, extend global reach, increase ARPU, and PSTN integration.
