Dialogic PowerVille LB Awarded 2017 WebRTC Product of the Year

The flexibility and availability WebRTC provides with real-time communications is greatly appreciated by organizations of all sizes. However, scalability and resiliency is still an issue as large enterprises look to adopt the technology for seamless communication within and outside of the organization. This hasn't stopped the growth of WebRTC application in the marketplace, and Dialogic is addressing these particular issues with its PowerVille LB – Load Balancer for real-time communications. The company has created a software-based high-performance and fully optimized network traffic load-balancer designed to make real-time communication infrastructure in carrier and enterprise applications more efficient. The achievement was recognized by TMC, which gave the PowerVille LB a 2017 WebRTC Product of the Year Award.

In addressing Dialogic’s accomplishment, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO, TMC, said, “Our judges were very impressed with the ingenuity and excellence displayed by Dialogic in its groundbreaking work on this load balancer. The WebRTC Product of the Year Award is given by TMC (News - Alert), a global, integrated media company helping clients build communities in print, in person and online, to companies that continue to create innovative solutions that push technology forward. Dialogic was able to do that with PowerVille LB, giving application developers, service providers, and enterprises a diverse set of real-time and non-real-time applications across disparate applications and data centers to dynamically scale, distribute, and manage traffic.

Organizations and developers can design solutions for COTS servers, virtualized and NFV deployments in cloud or on premise implementations. Some of the other features of PowerVille LB include application aware real-time traffic management, rapid network integration, efficient use of resources, reduction of operational expenses, increase reliability and flexibility licensing.

These features combine to solve the problem of congestion in modern IP networks by efficiently managing incoming traffic across application server clusters and reducing the complexity design of said applications to improve network performance.
