US Foods, one of America's premier food service distributors to restaurants, hospitals, schools, military facilities and others, has chosen the Aternity (News - Alert) Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform for its strategic end user experience management initiatives.

Aternity will help US Foods monitor and analyze the performance of numerous mission-critical applications in both physical and virtual desktop environments in order to proactively manage application deployments, adoption, and ongoing use.

A major healthcare insurer, who uses FPI Platform to proactively identify and remediate application performance issues before their end users are impacted, referred Aternity to US Foods.

Officials said that Aternity will monitor US Foods' deployment of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, applications delivered by SAP (News - Alert) and Oracle, as well as custom HTTP and Rich Internet Applications used to manage their warehouse and distribution logistics.

IT managers, with the help of the same are able to optimize application and end user performance and ensure optimal performance for business applications running on every desktop.

Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity, said: "By providing them with the visibility they need to ensure the availability and performance of their critical sales and distribution applications, US Foods can continue to focus on setting the industry standard for value through high-quality, cost-effective and efficient foodservice."
