The leading provider of business-to-business co-location, Internet, hosted voice, and managed data services, Enteracloud Solutions, recently announced the expansion of datacenter and colocation services in the San Diego region.
Enteracloud, which is focused on small businesses, announced that with the latest expansion, the company’s capacity for the San Diego region tripled. In the press release, the company claimed that several new services have also been introduced. These include support ranging from 1u colocation to full cabinets.
Under the new expansion initiative, Enteracloud is also going to offer 54U cabinets, which represent one of the industry’s largest cabinet spaces. Enteracloud claimed that its price is considerably less than competitors in the San Diego colocation market.
Enteracloud was formed with the goal of providing small businesses with access to cloud technologies, so that its customers are able to leverage the technology and services that have been too difficult or expensive for small businesses. The latest expansion is expected to enable the company to further its commitments.
Earlier this month, Enteracloud Solutions announced the opening of its new, secure, SAS (News - Alert) 70 Type II compliant data center in San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo area. The SAS 70 Type II compliance validates that Enteracloud's data center has all the necessary safeguards required, while hosting and processing data for its clients. In an earlier media release, the company revealed its plan about migrating close to 100 of its clients to the new data center during the initial phase. In January, the company reportedly moved its corporate headquarters to Carlsbad.
In early July, Enteracloud Solutions introduced a private, secure, virtual co-location service to enable IT professionals to grow and extend their network while maintaining the highest level of security.
