Zayo Group (News - Alert), a provider of fiber-based bandwidth infrastructure and network-neutral colocation and interconnection services, has been recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the Denver region by Denver Business Journal (DBJ).
According to DBJ, the companies were ranked based on the percentage growth for fiscal years 2009, 2010 and 2011. Each company had to report a minimum of nine months of operations in the base year of 2009.
Zayo reportedly got the fourth spot among Denver’s largest privately held companies with 129 percent growth over the last two fiscal years, from $125 million in 2009 to $287 million in 2011.
The 2012 fastest growing private companies listed by DBJ were honored at a special awards luncheon held July 26 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Denver Convention Center. They were also profiled in a special section in the July 27, 2012 issue of the Denver Business Journal.
Zayo claimed that it offers bandwidth infrastructure solutions and carrier-neutral colocation. With a full suite of network services and local support teams to respond to one’s needs, users can focus on their business while Zayo takes care of their network.
Zayo provides these services over regional, metro, national, international and fiber-to-the-tower networks, and its network assets cover over 61,000 route miles, including Washington, D.C. as well as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Toronto and Tokyo.
Zayo recently extended its network presence in the greater Denver area and TMCnet reported that all major industries in Denver area, especially in the fields of research and development, technology, education and energy, will be ably assisted with Zayo’s 521-route mile Denver extension.
In related news, Zayo Group obtained Metro Ethernet Forum (News - Alert) MEF 9 and MEF 14 certification and Peak 10 utilized Zayo's bandwidth infrastructure.
