ColoHouse has launched the second phase of its data center expansion in Miami. Under this phase, ColoHouse aims to include a minimum of 6,000 sq. ft of extra carrier-neutral, premium elevated floor colocation space to its Miami footprint.
In order to obtain this additional space, ColoHouse has signed a contract with the major provider of data center solutions across the globe, Digital Realty. The contract has considerably augmented ColoHouse’s time period of renting the facility located at 36 NE 2nd Street in downtown Miami.
This facility is essentially a telecom grade, Category 5 hurricane sheltered building located outside FEMA's 500-year flood zone.
ColoHouse's expansion in the data center marketplace, along with its unrelenting obligation to Miami, is stronger through this contract.
In the past few years, the demand for IT infrastructure and services has been on the rise. ColoHouse has been exploiting this demand by expanding its data center. In the last year, the number of customers using ColoHouse’s services has increased by 100 percent.
ColoHouse's distinguishing carrier-neutral existence in Miami, considered a regional and global internet hub, has reinforced its value offering. The company's strong internet background and redundant, flexible options are being preferred by organizations needing Miami connectivity.
An Uptime Institute qualified Tier Designer has planned the second phase of expansion. This phase will include redundancy, larger space and power capacity. Further details will be revealed by the company in the near future after the build-out is nearly accomplished.
“ColoHouse is committed to substantial investments aimed at further developing our data center and colocation services footprint,” said Felipe Rodriguez, chief operating officer at ColoHouse. “Phase II is one progression of many, as ColoHouse strengthens its position within the data center industry."
ColoHouse is the finest data center and colocation hosting facility located in Miami. The company is also a major provider of carrier-neutral data center services in North America. The company currently has 24,000 square feet of carrier-grade space located at its SSAE 16 certified, Category 5 hurricane protected facility in Miami.
The competitive benefits of best-in-class security, ecological and connectivity technologies at the finest value are offered to ColoHouse’s customers.
