Gartner (News - Alert) Inc. has included ForeScout Technologies Inc. in the "Leaders" quadrant of its latest report, "Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control". Security control offerings are provided by ForeScout Technologies to Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organizations. Gartner evaluates an organization’s comprehensiveness of vision and aptitude in order to be implemented as part of the Magic Quadrant analysis.

According to the Gartner report, the chief factor for the increase in adoption of NAC is the BYOD trend. In order to ensure that the policies related to the use of personal devices are in place, NAC vendors need to maintain flexibility during collaborations and/or internally developed capabilities.

The report quotes, "Mobility and bring your own device (BYOD) trends have increased demand, and the largest NAC suppliers have seen strong increases in growth. Driven by these trends, we expect market growth of approximately 63 percent in 2013, as businesses are spending on mobile device management (MDM) and NAC as the primary means for meeting demand of personally owned smartphones and tablets, while containing risks."

According to the report, major organizations, which have been placed in the Leaders quadrant, have been able to promote huge NAC deployments, where the minimum nodes are 10,000, to several huge organizations. These NAC vendors or networking and/or security organizations have been uniquely promoting improved capabilities to the growing market. These organizations have the required assets for ensuring their commitment to NAC apart from the required channel potency and financial assets.

Organizations can view and manage all resources connected to the network using the computerized security control platform, ForeScout CounterACT. Employees and guests can therefore use personal devices on the network flawlessly with no breaches in the security.
